What to Expect at a Women’s Conference: A First-Timer’s Guide

If you’ve never been to a Christian women’s conference before, it’s normal to feel a little unsure walking in. Will you know anyone? What do people wear? What actually happens across a weekend like this? Here’s a friendly, honest guide so you can arrive relaxed and ready to receive.

Worship that sets the tone

Most conferences open in worship, and Destined Daughters is no different — Friday evening is a full concert and worship night. Worship isn’t a warm-up act; it’s where hearts soften and the weekend’s atmosphere is set. You don’t need to know the songs. Just come as you are and let yourself engage however feels natural — hands raised, eyes closed, or simply standing and taking it in.

Teaching that meets you where you are

Saturday brings the teaching sessions. Speakers share from Scripture and from their own walk — messages meant to encourage, challenge, and call you higher. You’ll want something to write with; the lines that stick with you often show up mid-sentence. This year’s messages come from Morgan Daye and Kaylee Tuttle.

Space for ministry and prayer

A good women’s conference leaves room for God to do something personal. There are usually moments for prayer, response, and ministry at the altar — never pressure, always invitation. If you come carrying something heavy, these are the moments many women point back to later as the turning point.

The practical stuff

  • What to wear: whatever helps you worship freely. Most attendees wear casual or smart-casual — jeans, a dress, comfortable shoes you can stand in.
  • Food: light refreshments are provided, and food trucks are on site Saturday for lunch so you can stay on campus.
  • What to bring: a Bible or a notes app, a refillable water bottle, and an open heart.
  • Parking: free and on-site — plan to arrive 20–30 minutes early Saturday.

Come with someone — or come alone

Plenty of women come solo and leave with new friends; plenty come with a whole row from their church. Either way you belong here. If you’re bringing a group, reach out to us about coming together.

Destined Daughters is October 23–24, 2026 in Sparks, NV. If you’ve read this far, that’s usually a sign. Get your ticket and we’ll save you a seat.
